Future of the forgotten

Future of the forgotten
Lam Long Ching

Recently, when we watch the news report, we can hear the voice which is expressing objection. To my astonishment, people who join the protest are quite young. If we look deeply, we can find a phenomenon in Hong Kong. Late-twenties focus on the collective memories instead of the economy. They don’t agree with the government that destroys the village to build the rail link. However, no matter how hard they try, the executives in Hong Kong only convince them and never take any action to address the problem. We can find that the late-twenties only care about the economic benefits.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              As a Hong Kong resident, I feel quite angry since the chief executive ruins all the heritage in Hong Kong because of maintaining the status of International Financial Center. Our next poor generation will not realize Hong Kong history. If the late-twenties aren’t willing to protect the heritage in Hong Kong, how do the youngsters rescue Hong Kong?

Actually, i don\’t think that buliding the rail link is a bad event. It will benefit the Hong Kong \’s econnomy and it not only benefit the economy butalso creat a convenient living conditon for the later generations. Therefore, buliding a rail link may not be bad idea and we can use other methon to protect the heritage. I regard that there are both sides to seeing things.

yes,I also very concern about this issue.I fell very disappointed because government\’s policies rarely take into account the needs and wishes of the grassroots people. They just exploit people\’s incomes to cause even greater waste. In the long run,the government\’s revenue will be recorded in dfeficit continuously .
